Since 2010 I have used exclusively Lumix cameras, beginning with the venerable GF1. This micro four thirds model was a revelation! It was a fraction of the size and weight of the bulky DSLRs I was previously using, but with little compromise on image quality. With the tiny Lumix 14mm pancake lens attached my pocket-sized GF1 provided sterling service on many a mountain walk. Its one down side was the lack of viewfinder - the rear screen was hard to see in bright sunlight and although an add-on electronic viewfinder was available, it was expensive. I had some success using a hot-shoe mounted Ricoh optical viewfinder but finally solved the issue by upgrading to a GX80!

Lumix S5 - luscious image quality from this full frame camera and simply mind-boggling low light capabilities. An excellent camera for landscape work and currently an absolute bargain since the mark II version came out.

This current set up works well for my kind of photography, with some cross over between equipment and genres when necessary.
